Tobias Preisig is a Swiss violinist whose music explores the intersection of ambient and electronic music, based on his Swiss mountain roots. He grew up with the traditional music of his father and grandfather from Appenzell and combines these roots with modern electronic approaches. 

He gives solo concerts and tours mainly with his electronic duo Egopusher through Europe and Asia at festivals such as Montreux Jazz, London Jazz, Mama Paris, Reeperbahn Hamburg, Jarasum Jazz South Korea and Tokyo Jazz Japan. He also plays with Levitation, a duo with Stefan Rusconi on church organ, exploring the richness of drones and noise music. 

He has worked with Colin Stetson Sorrow, The Cinematic Orchestra, Christian Zehnder, Dieter Meier, George Gruntz, Youn Sun Nah and Jan Bang.

He recently performed his compositions as a soloist with the chamber orchestra at the Regensburg Chamber Orchestra Festival and received great attention from various audiences.
